We spent Memorial Day with Luke's family and decided to head out to their neighborhood pool that just opened up for the summer. Unfortunately a massive thunderstorm arrived about 20 minutes after we got in the water. So, all that getting ready for 20 minutes of fun, but we still had a good time! And we did get these pictures of the girls in their super cute swimsuits! They're not exactly the smiliest pictures, but oh well.
Daddy took it upon himself to teach Anna Kate to swim while I splashed on the steps with Caroline. Here's the little fishy in action!
Library story time is always a highlight of our week. We love our little small town library and the children's librarian and all of the friends we have met there. Here is Anna Kate doing puzzles with her best little friend, Alice (they were born two weeks apart and met when they were 5 months old)!
One of the books we read last week was about bathtime, so of course, we played with bubbles! Quite a hit!
Even Caroline has been getting excited about the stories and songs and rhymes lately! She is always very smiley and attentive during storytime! That's the back of her little bald head you can see in the picture right behind Anna Kate (and yes, that is a true ponytail in AK's hair...it's FINALLY long enough).
Speaking of Caroline, here is a pictures of her first two teeth! They came through a couple weeks ago, but are now finally big enough to see!
And, last but not least, Daddy had the day off work today, so we spent the morning at our favorite children's museum - EdVenture! Anna Kate is constantly talking about it, so she was super excited to go today. Oh, and we also stopped by Krispy Kreme to get her free donut for National Donut Day! She picked chocolate with sprinkles! Anyway, here are some pictures of our morning.
Anna Kate's first stop at EdVenture is always the grocery story. She LOVES that place and if we let her, would probably spend our entire morning filling her cart, checking out, and restocking the shelves. She piled it pretty high this time!
And we always have to get a picture of her on the tractor!
Mommy and Caroline enjoyed the rocking chair on the "front porch" of the farm house while AK drove the tractor.
The fire station and fire truck were a big hit this trip. Here's the little firefighter all dressed up!
And driving the fire truck...
And crawling through the tunnel underneath. This was the first time she was brave enough to crawl through the tunnel (it's really dark, so I had to go with her!).
And a cute little baby area just perfect for Caroline! She really was interested in all the various toys and activities to play with!
I love this quote that they had on the wall in the little baby area:
Well, there you have it...a little peek into what we've been up to lately. Not that our lives are free from sleepless nights or temper tantrums or what-have-you, but we are very blessed and are enjoying every day with these two sweet baby girls that God has blessed us with.
What a beautiful blog! I loved all the pictures of our beautiful girls! It makes me miss you all so much and the wonderful 5 months we had with you in Camden!
