Eleanor's 3rd Birthday Bicycle Parade!

For Eleanor's Third birthday, we tried to think about what she loves to do the most. Right now, that is ride her new balance bike and play with her friends. So, we came up with the idea for a bicycle parade party at the park. While it ended up being a little bit windy and chilly, everyone had so much fun...especially our sweet THREE-year-old!

100th Day of School 2017

Several times throughout our school year we got together with our friends the Doweys for special celebrations. This time it was the 100th day of school! We planned several activities for the kids to do that all centered around the number 100.

First, write your numbers on a 100 chart!

Then, do a nature scavenger hunt where you had to find 10 each of 10 items in nature!

Then, 100 exercises!

Finally, celebrate with 100 snacks!

We are so thankful for great friends and fun memories!

Christmas/New Years 2016-17

Right after Christmas with the Burgins (well a few of them!) we headed up to NC for a Christmas/New Years celebration with the Tolberts. First on the agenda was open gifts! Mimi and Papa gave the big girls a Samantha doll to share (to go along with their Kirsten doll that I gave them last year)!

The next day we baked Christmas cookies with Uncle Jonathan and Aunt Allison.

Then it was time for Eleanor to try out her gift (a balance bike!) so we headed out on a family walk.

Caroline's been pretty interested in ballet lately, so we gave her a kids ballet DVD for Christmas. She wanted her expert aunt to show her how it was done!

After a a few days at the mountain house, we headed south to Jekyll Island, GA, for a family get-together for Luke's dad's side of the family.

I took this picture the first night of the girls sharing an air mattress. Sometimes they can be sweet :)

Jekyll Island has a synthetic ice rink right on the beach. It was an adventure to say the least, but I'll stick with real ice next time. It was pretty difficult!

We took lots of walks on the beach.

The playground where we were staying was pretty neat. Not sure who enjoyed it more, the grown-ups or the kids!
