Eleanor's Cookie Party!

After Christmas was over, I started asking Eleanor what kind of little birthday party she might want to have. She was extremely insistent that she have a "cookie party." So a cookie party was planned. We decided just to invite three or four of her little same-age friends and their families and do lunch and cookies on her birthday. Unfortunately, she ran a fever the night before her birthday and we had to postpone it until later in the week. But that just meant she got to celebrate twice! Once with family and once with friends!

Here are a few pictures of her Cookie Party with all her friends!

Of course, we did a cookie cake!

With cookies on the side. The cut-out ones are all E's and 2's!

Celebrating with sisters and friends!

With all the honored guests being two-year-olds we only planned one activity: a cookie hunt! Basically like an Easter egg hunt, but with our set of 12 wooden cookies from the kitchen set! The little ones had a blast and the big sisters did the hiding!

Group shot of all the kids before we called it a night!

Eleanor could not have been more pleased with her party - and the copious amounts of cookies she was allowed to consume!

She also got to have a special day at her preschool that week where she wore a special outfit that was Caroline's on her 2nd birthday. I had to get a few pictures that afternoon!

And I just love this one of Eleanor and one of her best little friends at the park!

January happenings

We had a lot of fun family times in January! I've been a bit behind on the blog and going through pictures of our year so far and thought I would just do a little monthly catch up. So here are some highlights from January!

We cheered on the Clemson Tigers in the National Championship game! Very exciting, despite not winning the title.

We let the girls stay up until the ended up like this. Luke looks like he's asleep too, but really he's just scowling.

We never really got snow this year other than a very light dusting, but we did have some extremely cold temperatures that warranted hats and scarves! Luke took the little ones on a number of runs with him where he had to bundle them up!

We took one Friday to go to the zoo!

I just love these next few pictures that Luke got on his phone.

A couple weeks later we took the girls to the circus for the first time. They had a blast!

We celebrated our 100th day of school by eating 100 snacks! The girls thought this was the best thing EVER!

And, last but not least, Caroline's hair stayed curly.
