Caroline's Sick Day

Poor Caroline started running a pretty high fever yesterday afternoon.  She was just fine all morning long, as evidenced by the following pictures.

Caroline LOVES her rain jacket.  Actually any jacket.  She seriously wants to wear a jacket all day, every day, inside or outside, regardless of the weather.  Here she is just playing around in her rain jacket yesterday morning!

So, like I said, she was fine all morning yesterday, but the fever came on suddenly during her afternoon nap.  She spent the rest of the afternoon right here:

Yes, that's a 16-month old in the newborn position in the sling.  It was her favorite place to be from 0-8 months, so why not try it again!  She actually fell asleep there yesterday afternoon while I did some housework.

Her temperature was much lower today, but she still has a low-grade fever, so we stayed home all day.  She was a much happier baby today though!  Daddy took Anna Kate to church this evening, so Caroline and I had some quality time just the two of us.  I took a video of her dancing to her favorite song:

Love that little girl!

Side note:  The song she is dancing to is "The Word of the Lord" by Seeds Family Worship.  If you have kids (or even if you don't!), you seriously need to buy their music.  Each song is straight scripture, but with high-quality musicianship and memorable melodies.  Not your run-of-the-mill kiddie Bible songs (although those are fun too!).  But seriously, we have all memorized 12 new scriptures since Anna Kate's friend Cody and his mom Erin gave us the CD three weeks ago.  That's the other neat thing...when you order a Seeds CD, you get two - one for you, and one to give away!  How cool is that!
